The Summit will be held at Park Village Resort, located to the North of Kathmandu’s city centre in the suburb of Budhanilkantha. Park Village sits on five acres of green space, stretching into Shivapuri Nagarjun National Park. Accommodation, conference facilities and various restaurants are spread across the beautiful gardens.
There is no accommodation available to book at Park Village, but plenty of options in the local area – please see accommodation options here.
In their blog How Stories, Safe Spaces and Communities Shape One Another, Renu Ghimire and Pratik Karmacharya of Freedom Studio Nepal describe the location of the Summit as follows:
The Summit will take place in Kathmandu, at the foot of Shivapuri hill on the northern edge of the valley. Shivapuri is more than a scenic backdrop. In local imagination, it is associated with retreat, stillness and meditation. Lord Shiva is said to have chosen Shivapuri as a place of withdrawal from worldly noise. Read this way, Shivapuri becomes an image of safety even for the divine: a place to pause, restore and gather strength before returning to the world.
That logic feels important for the Summit. Many people will arrive carrying pressure from organizations, movements, funding realities, political uncertainty and the exhaustion of working inside systems that often do not listen. A Summit cannot solve all of that. But it can offer a pause. It can create conditions where people feel protected enough to speak honestly, listen deeply and return to their work with renewed clarity.
